How do I turn on the Sentinelle collar?
With the collar screen facing you, the far right button is the power button, long press (2sec.) to power up or down
I just received my Sentinelle collar, it's not finding the GPS signal (yellow pin on the collar screen)
The Sentinelle collar controler contains a database of all GPS satellite in the world. The first time the collar is turned on, it can take up to 24h before it established the "preferred GPS list", hence accelerate the signal acquisition once outdoor.
How long does it take to acquire GPS signal?
our tests has shown an average of 50 seconds for GPS acquisition once outdoor on a fairly cloudy day.
What's the precision of the collar?
The precision of the GPS signal can be 2m with clear sky. Heavy foilage can affect signal and precision.
How to validate the fence before using it?
Once you program a fence thru the app, walk test with collar in hand and re adjust if needed before using it with your dog
How to know if the collar is ready to work in fence mode?
click briefly on the collar Power button, a yellow pin point and a fence icon should appear
When to know if the collar is fully charge?
battery indicator will show full and it will beep once. Full recharge takes about 2 hours.
What to do if the yellow pin point indicating GPS acquisition is not present?
if you keep your collar indoor, the collar may disconnect from the GPS signal. Use the collar outside, once the dog returns, remove the Sentinelle and keep it close to a window or door, it tends to stay connected even indoor and ready to be use instantly
How long does the collar battery last?
Usually between 28 to 36 hours depending on GPS signal. When no signal is received, the collar tends to drain more battery looking for a signal. Keep it close to a window or door
When I monitor the collar on the application, I loose connection with the collar or indicating No signal?
The application connects to the collar unit via Bluetooth and offers a limited connection range, it should be used for programming only. Range is around 15 feets or 4 meters.
